Axiom 4 mission with Indian astronaut Shucla postponed after June 10th

The mission of Axiom Space at the International Space Station (ISS), which is the Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shucla and three more, was postponed on the Falcon-9 rocket from SpaceX on June 10th at 5:52 p.m.

The announcement was created during a virtual press conference with the mission members of the Axiom 4 mission, which are currently in quarantine before their trip to the ISS.

The space travel was originally planned for May 29 and then moved to June 8th.

In a press conference before the flight, the Axiom 4 crew, the mission commander Peggy Whitson, the mission pilot Shucla and the mission specialists Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski from Poland and Tibor Kapu, provided.

“I ask everyone ‘Bharatvasi’ to participate, to participate, to engage and courageously dream of the future,” said Shuckla in the virtual press conference from the Launch Center in Florida.

Shukla will be the second Indian who will travel four decades after Rakesh Sharma’s legendary space flight on board Russia’s Soyuz spaceship in 1984.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to interact with the Axiom 4 crew during her 14-day stay at the ISS.

“We will have one with an Indian VVIP,” said Shucla about a question about interaction with the prime minister from space.

He said the AX-4 crew would interact with students, educators and members of the Indian space industry.

“I not only wear technical equipment, but also the hopes and dreams of 1.4 billion Indians. In many ways I see myself as a bridge between earth and space,” said the person born in Lucknow.

The Indian astronaut will carry artifacts that were designed by the National Institute of Design and symbolize the creativity and innovation of India for the ISS.

Shucla said he would also wear a special souvenir of his space flight for his mentor Rakesh Sharma, who undertook a space travel as part of the Russian mission in 1984.

He said the special memorial would be announced as soon as he returns from the Axiom-4 mission and meets Sharma, who led him during the entire training period.

Shucla said he hoped that his journey into space would arouse curiosity among the young heads, which was the key to Indian ambitious plans for space research.

“I will speak to educators, the members of the space industry and the students – not only experiences, but inspiration. If even a young member explores the cosmos only because of this mission, we will have already succeeded,” he said.

“I hope to recognize curiosity and excitement in the young heads and to tell them that the room is not a distant dream, but a future that they can shape,” he said.

“For the people of India: This mission is a milestone and I ask India to pray for the success of the mission. Even stars are available, Jai Hind,” said Shucla in short comments in Hindi.

Shucla said he would wear Indian delicacies such as Mango -nectar, Moong Dal Halwa and carrots Halwa on space flight.

On the Indian cultural reference to Swan – the indicator of the zero -heavy power, said Shucla, the bird was the vehicle of the goddess Saraswati, symbolized wisdom, learning and purity.

“It is said to have the rare ability to separate milk from water – a symbolism that represents a strong memory of the distinction in the age of distraction. To wear this symbol, to wear the essence of the mission – striving for knowledge, clarity of the purpose and grace under pressure,” said Shuckla.

As soon as the astronauts are docked, plan to spend up to 14 days on board the surrounding laboratory and to carry out science, public relations and commercial activities.

The Axiom 4 astronauts will carry out around 60 scientific studies and activities that represent 31 countries during their 14-day stay.

Shukla will carry out exclusive experiments in connection with food and nutrition, which were developed with the support of NASA with the support of NASA under a cooperation between the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT).
