New organization will support IoT mvno Skills in Japan and beyond
Soracom, Inc., a global provider of IoT platform with complete MVNo ability, and Marubeni Corporation, a Japanese general trade company, have announced a joint venture between Soracom and Marubeni i-Digio Holdings Co., Ltd., a Marubeni Group Company.
The joint venture offers IoT MVNo services in Japan And expand IoT skills to a variety of global regions and industries.
The new company will take over the MVNo business of the Marubeni Network Solutions Corporation (“Marubeni Network”), a network outsourcing company under Marubeni I-Digio, and act as a joint venture with 51% investments from Soracom.
Marubeni network Is one of the few complete MVNOs in Japan and runs his MVNO business with the NTT Docomo network. Soracom is a complete MVNO that offers services in 185 countries with KDDI and global networks and offers communication services for the Internet of Things. Soracom has also developed a cloud native Connectivity Management Platform (CMP) with its own technology.
Through the cooperation with the Marubeni Group, Soracom Mobile Services will offer, including high-quality IoT communication, which is compatible with various communication environments as a multi-carrier full MMVNO operator. The new company will also consider supporting the latest SIM technologies such as the SIM and ISIM of the next generation and using SIM technology on SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) in order to provide mobile employees integrated network and security functions.
