Defense Minister Rajnath Singh asked for eight companies in the defense defenders (DPSus) on Monday to improve their production into the latest technologies, with a focus on research and development in the emerging areas of modern warfare.
During a meeting of the DPSus, chaired by Singh, Sanjeev Kumar said that 78 percent of the production value, which will work out more than 1,40,000 MRD.
Concentrate on timely delivery
The minister estimated the value of the production by DPSus. However, he warned them to concentrate on the timely delivery of products to the forces and their other customers.
He emphasized the role of DPSus when increasing exports and instructed them to increase their focus on better marketing their products.
Singh also praised the role of the entire defense industry, including DPSus, in the development of platforms and technologies that demonstrated the willingness of the Indian armed forces during the Sindoor Operation.
He emphasized that the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is still obliged to strengthen the industrial base of the defense and to improve the competitiveness of the DPSus.
